Pregnancy test Simply

The Simply pregnancy test detects a hormone that your body produces during pregnancy (human chorionic gonadotropin – hCG) in your urine. The hCG hormone level increases the further along in your pregnancy you are.

You can use the Simply pregnancy test the day after the expected date of your period. You can perform the test at any time of day. However, if you are pregnant, be aware that first-morning urine has the highest concentration of the hCG hormone.

Although you can perform the test at any time of day, first-morning urine is usually the most concentrated of the day and therefore contains the most hCG.

A comparative clinical study was performed on the Simply pregnancy test and a reference urinary hCG test. The reference test is a control test that makes it possible to assess the reliability, accuracy and sensitivity of a urinary pregnancy test. The Simply pregancy test and the reference test identified the same results across 413 samples; the tests identified 117 positive results and 296 negative results. Compared to the reference test, the overall reliability of the Simply pregnancy test was higher than 99%.

The Simply sensitive pregnancy test detects hCG in urine at a concentration equal to or higher than 25 mIU/ml. Adding LH (300 mIU/ml), FSH (1,000 mIU/ml) and TSH (1,000 μIU/ml) to negative (0 mIU/ml hCG) and positive (25 mIU/ml hCG) samples did not lead to any cross reactions.

This means that your urine contains hCG and that you are probably pregnant. Consult your doctor to confirm your pregnancy and together discuss all the steps to take.

A coloured line will appear in the control area (C), which indicates that you have followed the test procedure correctly and that a sufficient amount of urine has been absorbed.

This means that the hCG hormone was not detected in your urine and that you are probably not pregnant. If your period does not occur one week after its expected start date, repeat the procedure with a new pregnancy test. If the result is negative again after this new test and your period is still late, consult your doctor.
