The Biosynex Covid-19 self-test is a rapid, qualitative, in vitro immunochromatographic test for detecting SARS-CoV-2 nucleocapsid protein antigens in samples from nasopharyngeal swabs. It was designed to provide a rapid diagnosis of SARSCoV-2 infections.

How often to use this self-test?

As sensitivity is more limited (due to the sampling method), use once or twice a week is recommended for this self-test.
How to interpret the results?

The organism is infected with covid 19 if a band appears on both the “c” and the “t” part of the cassette. The test is negative if only one bar appears on the “c” part of the cassette. Finally, the self-test is invalid if no bar appears or if a bar appears only on the “t” part of the cassette.
If my self-test is positive, do i have to go to a laboratory to confirm the result?

Yes, if the test is positive, it is important to confirm the result with a laboratory test.
Does the test detect all variants?

Our self-test does detect the different variants alpha, beta, gamma, epsilon and omicron.
